The Saramonic LavMicro U1B is a 6 meter clip-on microphone that captures pristine sound quality and connects directly to Apple devices through the Lightning port. It is comprised of two parts, a male 3.5mm TRS to lightning adapter cable and a lavalier microphone with a 3.5mm female connector. This design also allows you to connect any audio devices with a 3.5mm TRS output to your iPhone or iPad, like the Saramonic UwMic9 RX9, Vmic Mini, SR-PMIC1 and more.

The microphone makes use of an omnidirectional pickup pattern that captures sound from every direction, allowing for freedom of movement, even when the subject turns away from the mic. The included alligator-style mic clip holds the mic firmly in place on clothing. The 19.6′ cable provides extra length for standing at an optimal distance in front of your camera. The mic is powered via your iOS device, so you don’t have to remember to change a battery, and a foam windscreen is included, to protect against outside wind noise.

Multi-Section, Multi-Use Cable

The cable is made of two sections: a first section with the lav mic at one end and a 3.5mm TRS female connector at the other, and a second section with a 3.5mm TRS male connector at one end and an MFi Certified Lightning connector at the other. This two-section cable facilitates multiple purpose. Use the first section of the cable to route the mic into iOS devices that still offer conventional 3.5mm jacks. Conversely, the second section can be used to connect either the lav mic or any audio device with a 3.5mm TRS output (including wireless receivers and media players) to your iPhone or iPad.
